150-160 degrees.......................unless it is a fan forced oven............then I think it is 10 degrees lower.

Thanks Flashie. I thought it would be about that. Mine is fan forced so if I have ago I will try it at 150.

Wow. Bread pudding - that brings back childhood memories, my mother used to make it for us often. there was also queen of puddings, which I think was made from stale cake in an egg custard sauce with jam and meringue on top.
We are going upmarket tonight with DD and SIL at a local restaurant instead of our usual fish and chips.

Evening folks
Just in from a long and tiring day .... plan to put feet up and be waited on. No cooking for me tonight - got a case of the 'can't be bothereds'.
Oh yummo j*oono - recipes! Do they come with a guarantee that there will be no weight gain just by reading them?
Winter Festival in full swing here in Freo - so funny seeing an open air ice rink on the Esplanade. Was lovely watching families try and master ice-skates for the first time. Lots of spills, lots of laughter and big smiles .... heart-warming.
Reach out and hold your kin close, spend time with them doing stuff THEY like doing (not just stuff you like to do) and most of all .... listen to them when they want to talk. You just never know what you will discover.

Wise words Laney.
Hubby cooked tea tonight................(his Man Flu made him do it)...................it tasted good.............any meal I do not have to cook is a good meal.

Flu makes you cook! I must tell whatsit. He reckons he's had the flu for 25 years.
Deb, I think it will have to be in December if I'm going to cook it. I don't trust my baking to not go mouldy or something. Remember when couples would save the top tier of the wedding cake and use it for the first baby's Christening? It was always just kept in a tin in the pantry, but that was in England so maybe it was like a fridge in there all year round.
I don't remember queen of puddings She_el. These I think must be war time creations when the housewife would just have to make do with what was available.
I'm doing burgers for the boys tonight with turkish rolls. I didn't make the burgers or the rolls but I think I can put them together and that will do.
Freo sounds like heaps of fun Laney! How long will the rink be there?

Until 26 July j*oono
I know what you mean about any meal you don't have to cook Flashie but my Mum used to say she did not mind what she cooked - just so long as we decided what we wanted to eat! The hardest part of it all was trying to think of what to cook.
I never fully appreciated that until I had to cook for my own family lol
