So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

I should have taken your advice more quickly Laney.  I washed my lubbly white linen sheets and hung them on the pool fence before I went out.

The first thing I saw when I got back home was that a bird had pooped on them and I had to rewash them and put them in the dryer.

I have a sneaky feeling it was my new resident pet duck.

We went to one of my favourite places for lunch - Bread in Common - joining the merry band of 'Ladies Who Lunch'.  The only difference was that for us it was 'Ladies and Gentlemen Who Lunch' 

Afterwards we browsed in a few galleries .... never seem to have had time to do that, at least in recent days/months.

An absolutely perfect day here .... this lunching thing could become a habit.

In response to the warmer weather, I am delighted to announce the arrival of the first of our sweet pea flowers.  May they be prolific
