Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Round Table Revisited

Hi Laney, I agree, the first coffee does always taste better than any other through the day. Maybe because it is the first fix? I know I get a headache if I go a day without a coffee though I can do it if I have to.

I am trying to drink tea but, though I have bought several types, I can't find one that does not leave an after taste. The only one I had which I liked was when I was given a cuppa after a procedure for which I needed to fast and they gave me a cup of tea afterwards. It was perfect but I forgot to ask what it was. They had several teas to choose from and so I don't know which one I had.

Prim

Anything would taste good after a period of fasting lol

On the subject of tea I was reading comments by Heston Blumenthal about his preference for teas and he had some interesting things to say about the manner in which the tea is made and the type of milk used.

Will try and find a link for you as it may improve your tea-drinking satisfaction .......

Whilst I don't particularly like his style of cooking, he said:

I hardly drink coffee but I love tea. There's always Earl Grey, Darjeeling, Assam, about five kinds of loose leaf all up.

My favourite is a vintage pu-erh โ€“ it tastes like forests, all damp and leathery. In black teas I just have a drop of skim milk to fix the tannins; the smell of the fat in full-cream milk is too strong with delicate teas.

Thanks for the link Laney.

I don't have milk in my tea, maybe that is why I am having trouble with the tannins ?

I don't remember tea drinking to be such a science LOL

I know his cooking style. I always watch and think, "I wouldn't eat that" or more often 'ewww'.

well, I've had a pretty lucky day so far.. I  called in at a local OP shop who never usually have anything and found something fantastic for my glass collection. My favourite colours too. I love it
