Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Yaaaaaay - an early mark today and a whole day off tomorrow!!!!!

Does not get much better than that these days lol

Bills, bills, bills .... just poor timing Deb.  If you had known then what you now know you would have scheduled your purchases but THAT is a bit like choosing your parents ......... mostly impossible lol

Not that I am complaining about my choices - just wish they were still around.

I love hearing when you having coffee with your folks.  I wish I had had more of an opportunity to do that .... living overseas or working all the time meant that the chance did not come around nearly often enough.

Round Table Revisited

Hi Laney,

i'm very lucky to still have mum and dad, both in their 80's they still like to go out and have a good time. We've always been a very close family, when I was young I used to take mum to all sorts of places, that probably would've shocked dad.. We still have a laugh about some of those fun times we had.

we sort of meet at what we call a half way point (it's not really, we just enjoy browsing the shops there, dad loves it when I find a bargain in the Op shop). We catch up on all the weekly family news over coffee

I just want to sit here with my feet up for a bit before I have to get dinner together, but the natives are getting restless ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Check out this beautiful photo - Luna is apparently so well trained she will not start eating until given permission to do so.  Too cute!

Congratulations on the new arrival TGSE.

I love that 'bloodline' vs 'heartline' expression ..... have never heard it used before but it is perfect!

Apologies for seeming to ignore your announcement - been somewhat busy and had not had time to read back .... glad I have now Smiley Happy

Amazing how a bit of extra time 'informs' one Smiley Wink

You know what, Deb, I've just realised that at 78 and 74 respectively Mr Elephant and I are creeping into the 'aged parent' bracket. . When DD and DIL took me to Bali for a Birthday treat, I was a little bit embarrassed at the way they 'looked out' for me all the time and almost wrapped me in cottonwool, but at the same time I was really touched by how happy they were to do it and how they cared enough to tailor their activities to what they saw as my needs.

I am so lucky in my family and I know that when the time comes that I really do need looking after they will all be there for me.
