Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Afternoon Ladies Smiley Happy

Yesterday nearly did me in!  Nearly expired in the heat and humidity as I had to leave the airconditioned comfort of home.  The only respite was a bit of rain later in the afternoon (the wonderful west has THE biggest raindrops) but unfortunately it did not last long enough and the lightning only served to start up a few more fires closer to town Smiley Sad

Thoughts continue to be with those down south.

Bad cramps through the night, indicative of heat stress, left me exhausted this morning.  Not allowed out today - so it's indoors watching some tennis.

You be careful Flashie - don't overdo it today and do damage to yourself.  You might ruin your bike-riding and golfing abilities Smiley LOL

~~~~Nics~~~~ your life is sounding very busy but also very happy.  Good to see Smiley Happy
hi Laney- I feel for you- I like the warm weather but daily 40 degree temps are pretty hard to live with when you can't get a break from it. hope WA gets some respite soon, I'm not up to date with what's going on with fires yet... just home
it's a funny thing how some comedians are just not funny people at all. Years ago I met Barry Humphries and was less than impressed at the type of person he was- not all funny or even good natured like I expected him to be
always when I see Dame Edna  I remember that
Good afternoon Friends Smiley Happy
More airconditioned comfort, more tennis and more recovery yesterday did the trick.  Great result for Australia Green in the Hopman Cup!
We did a 'J' this morning and had a huge Sunday brunch with friends.  Was given a box of white flesh nectarines too - my very favourite fruit and this year they seem even sweeter ..... must be the weather conditions which enabled them to ripen and sweeten in the sun.
Deeeeeeeelicious Smiley LOL
Deb there are so many 'comedians' who hide their real lives behind their patter - just like clowns.  Reg Livermore's Betty Blockbuster Follies used to amaze me - so many of the audience was laughing at his parody of them and they just did not see the truth of it all.  Good to be able to laugh at oneself of course but I found it a sad social commentary.
As far as adopting 'alter-egos' that says more about their desire to disassociate themselves from their real lives and they are more to be pitied than amused the way I see it - except for the likes of Humphries who, in real life, is no doubt laughing all the way to the bank.  At least he was original and is consistent Smiley LOL
I never saw that one Laney, though I did work at the Melb. Rocky Horror Show. Max Phipps had the starring role in that instead of Reg Livermore. OMG that was a fantasic job for a young person back then.  I loved it lol
Didn't see the Rocky Horror Show Deb although I have seen numerous clips of it.
That must have been a bit of a coup for you Deb - landing that job - and you would never have tired of seeing the show.
I often regretted not applying for a casual job at the Sydney Opera House when it first opened - colleagues in the industry in which I worked did - and they had a super time.
Guess I was just not in the right head space at the time and had too much else going on in my life lol
It happens Smiley LOL
We had to put the air-conditioner on while we were painting yesterday............the paint in the tray was starting to dry...........and every time I put the roller in it meant I got little bits of skin on the roller.
I have taken the day off from painting today...................we have a birthday in our family and I need to cook for it.
And catch up on "STUFF".......that isn't getting done because we have been so busy.
i
Our youngest son decided to get up to mischief yesterday............(again......Cat LOL)..................he knows our eldest son is usually hungry when he gets home from work and is impatient for tea.............so he gets into the biscuits while he waits for tea.
So our youngest son got some oreos.................took out the cream in the middle.............(no doubt he licked that out).......................and replaced it with toothpaste..........put them on a plate on the coffee table to be eaten.
Well his joke was a huge big fail..............because we were all suspicion as to why he was offering us his biscuits to eat................as he NEVER shares his goodies................so we all knew he was up to no good.
So ....no doubt it is back to the drawing board for him.
