Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

thanks for the pics Flashie  is the worst over yet?? I did see some footage of the Gorge last night. on the news, the bridge looks a lot lower than I remember it. When we were there,  I would not go over that bridge  Woman LOL

very sad the loss of life and I expect there will be livestock losses as well. Poor animals, their feet get stuck in the mud

Nic, it's been a bit too cold and wet over the past week, but today looks OK so far. for the market.  good luck with what you're trying re: the lung specialist, I hope it all goes well and gives you some benefits

Good morning all.

TGSE............yesterday morning was the peak for tides.

Still two people missing though.............I hope they find them today.

It is raining here again...............my house looks like a chinese laundry.

I can't get anything dry.

Our middle grandson was dissapointed yesterday.............the weather has been so bad that they had to cancel his first game of football.

He finds school hard with his dyslexia.............and was wanting his moment to shine on the football field............next week!

you're up early today Flashie

we've been very lucky in Melb that it missed us.. we've had rain but not heavy rain. I go a bit stir crazy if I'm trapped inside for a few days Flashie. Don't worry about the washing.. it'll get done eventually

Hope your grandson's team wins next week.

Round Table Revisited

Hi folks.  Interesting day today. I went to a meeting of Mr elephant's impaired lung function support group. they needed prtnersand spouses because numbers have been really down and they had a speaker coming. He was from the Regional Men's Health Innitiative and he hasd some very interesting things to say - particularly about mental health and the need to TALK . He also spoke about the diference between clinical depression and normal situational distress.

I found that very enlightening, because I have long believed that nowadays we are encouraged to believe that we are not capable of coping with the 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" and need experts to treat us and 'cure' us. Remember the birth scene in  Monty Python's The Meaning Of Life where the woman in labour asks the doctors surrounding her what she should do and is told "Nothing, dear, you're not qualified.'

Deb............I am always up early...............and late.............I am not a good sleeper at the best of times.

Those two men still have not been found...............they are saying now it is most likely a recovery.

TGSE............do you find the support groups beneficial.......we keep being given information for hubby about them.................but have never bothered because we felt we were doing OK...............but I never gave it a thought that hubby may benefit from talking to others facing the same things.

Dark Mofo starts here tomorrow..............I love it..............it is rather popular.

Hopefully there are some things I can take some good pictures of.
