Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Frank was very happy with his bombers this week.  There were some good games.

Trouble with Wimbelton, I fall asleep!!

Busy in our household - lots of Kim's rellies around.   Kim's got the week off so I'm leaving the cooking to the young ones.  Frank sees the cardiologist on Friday so if all is well, we may go somewhere for the weekend, even if it's just Port Macquarie.

Hope everyone is well.

Good afternoon Gals Smiley Happy

Sandy I sure hope that Franks 'numbers' are better and that you will be able to have a few days away together ....... enjoying the peace and quiet.

Freddie, the two hour time difference makes it easier for us here in the west - that is not to say we could stay awake long into the night but it was great to see Federer's first match last night.  Interesting too to see he has ditched Nike - the dollar differentials sounded GINORMOUS!  I used to like that R F moniker - so stylish lol.

Edited because I just read you are out to lunch with your bestie Freddie - I am sure you both enjoyed yourselves.

Just been reading about those young lads in Thailand - so thankful they have been found alive and are now awaiting rescue.  Their psychological states given they have spent so long in those caves (not knowing whether they would ever be found or whether the water would rise further and drown them) would be very fragile.  Lack of food, sleep etc would have exacerbated the poor condition of their emotional states - sure hope they get rescued eventually.  All so awful to think about.

Heavy rain predicted again here today Deb but so far there has been very little. Still too wet to get out in the garden though.

Enjoy whatever mischief you are up to Smiley Wink

Happy Independence Day tomorrow (today here) to any American friends lurking here!

Great results at Wimbledon last night, disappointed for Kahn in Masterchef, raining on and off here today.

Just cannot get my mind off those poor boys in the Thai cave.  Suffering from claustrophobia I cannot imagine how ghastly it would be for them in there ......... just cannot bear the thought.  In the scheme of things it does beat the alternative of course but it does not lessen the sense of panic they must feel Smiley Sad

Laney what a horrible situation for those poor boys I hate thinking about

their predicament I don't do confined spaces so I would not be a good partner

in a situation like that.

I watched Barty last night she looked good - Kyrgios I feel nervy watching

him play - wondering if he's going to throw the match on a whim - overall

it was a good night for the Aussies even Sam got through Woman Surprised

My lunch with my bestie was lovely she's a good mate we've been mates since

primary school her hubby is about to begin a bit of a journey with infusions

for leukemia - diagnosed 2 yrs ago but his count has risen of late so it's time

for treatment. Tennis time I like Jelena Dokic comentating Laney her knowledge

of the players and the game makes it more interesting.

I also feel for those poor kids in the cave - they said they could be there for months.  Are divers taking them food, water. blankets and light?   Being pitch black would be the worst.

Freddie, 2 of our friends of the older generation have got leukemia - my bridesmaid has had it for about 10 years and just takes a tablet.  Our best man and Frank's oldest mate has it and was in remission but it has raised it's head again.  They seem to be able to control it though.

Supposed to be 23 tomorrow - hope so.

How's the weather in Melbourne Deb?

Evening Girls/Ladies Smiley Happy

Masterchef over for the night and now onto the tennis.  John Millman is putting up a brave fight, Venus Williams has a battle on her hands ..... Fed Ex on soon.

Barty did look good last night (and broke her voodoo by getting past the first round) Freddie and even Sam won.  I am like you regarding Kyrgios.  It is sad having to feel that way.  Lets hope that he behaves as he progresses through the Championship.  Jelena looks different but then who doesn't ....... a function of ageSmiley LOL

Sandy, there are doctors who have gone in and will stay with the kids in the cave and monitor their well-being.  They have supplies of food, water, space blankets to keep them warm and any medication they might need - along with torches and other lights.  A telephone line is being set up so they can communicate with the outside world and their parents in particular.  Still does not overcome any fear of enclosed spaces if any suffer from that.  Makes my blood run cold.

It is a 3 hour swim through often very narrow passages, using equipment the kids would have have had any experience with - lets hope they manage to pump out the water so that they do not have to go through the terrors of that swim.  My heart goes out to them all - parents included and gratitude for all those who have gone there to assist.

23 sounds like a good temp tomorrow Sandy - its cold again here tonight and snow is expected in the Stirling Range and on Bluff Knoll brrrrrrrr

Good afternoon Friends

Didn't feel like posting yesterday.  Didn't feel like celebrating.  Masterchef and Wimbledon held little interest.  Thoughts of those poor kids still in the caves, thoughts of the unspeakable act in West Pennant Hills yesterday and today to read about one of the Thai rescuers who lost their life ...... is there no respite?

Makes me wonder about what joy 'keyboard warriors' get out of using disgusting language, bullying and threatening ..... their real lives must be totally devoid of any happiness, laughter and true friendships.  Would that they walked in the shoes of others .... they might learn some contrition but the reality is that they probably do not have the wit to modify their behaviour. Empty vessels they are!

It is cold here today - would probably be better if I had bothered to put the aircon on but I have a real case of the can't be bothereds.

Sandy I hope Franks results are good and that you can get away for your weekend escape.

Freddie - do a Johnny Walker and 'keep walking' Smiley Happy

Will BBL perhaps - in the meantime hold the ones you love, tell them you love them and take care Heart

Oaks - thanks for your kudos - you are a real treasure
