Afternoon friends ![]()
Gosh Nics - they are playing so well .... you are obviously very pleased. Lots of teams behind you on 16 points though - interesting times ahead .............
I have had to revise my opinion of Malthouse on the ABC Grandstand team. The more I listen to him the more insight I get so will have to try and get over my earlier dislike of him based on his coaching at the Pies and the Eagurls ![]()
Cool but beautiful day here today - this autumn weather is so beautiful. Have to admit though I do miss the change of seasons and the Autumn colours of the Upper Blue Mountains. My kin there keep reminding me what I am missing ....... I wonder why ![]()

Must admit, I'm loving the cooler autumn weather, too, Laney...it's still short sleeves here in Sydney during the day, but lovely crisp mornings to wear a light cardigan, and cool nights to sleep through without having to throw the doona off...
...or the hubby...lol

Another good weekend ahead footywise AFL fans ![]()
Good morning!
Beautiful day but colder this morning and this weather always prompts me to make some warming soup.
So its up to the markets to get some additional makings and then into the kitchen.
I can almost taste it now lol
Have a great day friends ![]()

Vegies roasting in preparation ....
It is Archibald time friends! Love seeing the entries - it is one event I miss from life in Sydney. David Wenham's portrait by Tessa Mackay won the packing room prize ..... now check out the other entries ![]()

I like the packing room prize painting.... some of the paintings look just like photos.. there are 3 that I like but being portraits, they're not the type of paintings I would have hanging on my walls
I've been painting too ![]()
but a different type of painting
I've been painting new white downpipes green, so they don't stick out like sore thumbs...they look like they belong there now
luckily I got it done before it rained
looking forward to tonight's footy.... we'll be home to watch this one

Hi Deb
Sounds like you have been doing some work on the fabric of the house. It really is never ending isn't it ![]()
Rain this morning - was lovely to wake up to it. Blue sky and sunshine now - contrary to the forecast but thats ok ..... easy enough to look out the window and see ![]()
Good to see the Dees got a win over the Hawks. Your match over the Dogs should be OK - enjoy it.
Nothing for us until tomorrow - and that will be an uphill one I suspect.
I have a couple of favourites amongst the Archibald entries - Karyn Zamel - My Self (49/51) and Jun Chen - Mao's Last Dance (42/51).
I do like the Packing Room Prize too but it seems they rarely (if ever) win and it makes me wonder whether the judges like to have 'one up' on the packers as if they know better ![]()
Must check out the Wynne entries ..........
