Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Afraid I have to agree with you Deb but understand the others remaining hopeful.

Being a Dockers Gal - I never give up - so I understand the others well.

Call it the power of positive thought Deb 🤔

Small consolation Deb but at least Jack had a good match for Maddie last week.

Another small consolation, but probably not for you, is that the Dees have been out in the cold for some time, so it is good to see them in their current position.

😯

It's been a long time in the wilderness for the Dees.. but they are a force to be reckoned with this year..lol at all the fighting just then.. that's not usual for these 2 teams

I don't like the fighting Deb - it reeks of bad sportsmanship to me but I guess that might just be me lol

Poor Nat Fyfe is having a dreadful time tonight with his 'goal kicking'.  Thank heavens for David Mundy 😂

Onward and upward for next week Deb.  Who do you play then?

Oh yes Deb - two huge games in a row!

We have the Derby next week against the Eagurls.  Hopefully we might be able to have some spectators next week for that.  If not, c'est la vie!

Round Table Revisited

LEST WE FORGET.jpg

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields

John McCrae
