It is a bit sad that once he was caught the media turned on the police and FBI and are nit picking how they conducted the search. Disgraceful

Did you girls see the news about the little 5 year old in India?  What IS the world coming to?  Their government made so much about the security of their students here in Australia  and yet they cannot seem to change the laws in an effort to stop this sort of ghastly thing happening there. 😞

I know it happens here too - don't know whether they need to impose tougher penalties on the perpetrators - whether that would work or not but they have to at least try X-(

My heart is hurting for that poor little girl.  And what on earth does this really mean?

It may well be true that because it did not take place in a  public place it could be judged as that, however, they really need to review the penalties but they seem unwilling or unable to do that.

Such action might dissuade SOME from such a heinous crime - it would probably not stop others but at least they have to TRY to combat it somehow!

I think it was her brother. Poor little girl, she's in ICU.

I'm feeling a bit squeamish atm because I didn't realise I was logged out of the boards and reloaded a thread... and was confronted by tons of paste-on gifs on bats. I thought I'd been transported back to the 90s :_| Apparently ignore doesn't work when you're logged out 😞

Until that, I was having a great day. Perfect autumn weather here today and I've been scrabbling around my lawn hand weeding, so the lawn mowing man doesn't feel tempted to use his sprayer again. Last week he whipper snippered the brown tufts of  my ex-herb garden :^O
