some people are just to stupid

3 weeks ago we spent 3/4 of million dollars searching for this moron and his leaky boat

when found he laughed about all the fuss

said he was an experienced sailor with back up plans

3 weeks later the fool goes back out to sea on the same leaky boat and promptly sinks

killing himself by all reports!

Oh gosh, that's no good. It is sad if he has met his fate at sea. We would hope that by some chance he's managed to survive.

I see his wallet has been found. His mate Derek Robinson is hopeful that he's alive.

You can never discount the ability of people to act stupidly or incompetently.

But I'll bet the jacks are having a good hard look into his recent background; the finding of the wallet containing his ID would have set their antennae quivering.

OK, we'll see what materialises in days or weeks to come. Out of respect to his family and friends who are obviously very worried and grieved, I won'rt speculate too much on what may or may not be. I just hope that somehow by miraculous chance he's managed to get to shore and is OK. And if OK, he leaves his recklessness behind him.
