It could be far worse - in some countries political leaders are assassinated.
Now ya talking when it comes to Aussie polies.
Line 'em up and let me have at 'em for target practise.
Be doing the entire country a massive favour :^O:^O

I would hazard a guess and say that a lot of families in Logan would be impacted by this decision.

That $600 was meant to be an increase to Family Tax Benefit part A I believe... all families on benefits would have received it.
And in case anyone missed it back in my other post.... (not you az)
Bad behaviour... a waste of food... showing disrespect... not a good look.
I admit, I have no idea about benefits and who gets what.

$300 for families with 1 child, $600 for families with more than 1 child. Their FTB amount they get paid now isn't going to be reduced. What you don't have you don't' miss. Probably would have ben spent on mini-ipads and game consoles anyway.

out of all days to go to a School in Logan it should not have been a day that they announce a backflip on a $600 increase to a payment that most of those kids families would have benefited from...
As seen on Q&A kids these days are very smart....
Bad behaviour... a waste of food... showing disrespect... not a good look.
BUT..
I bet these kids don't all have a laptop like they were promised.
I bet these kids will face a high youth unemployment rate where they live...
I bet these kids know how hard life can be..
Oh boo hoo those poor kids. I didn't have a laptop when I went to school. High unemployment? They can always move. Many of us know how hard life can be.
Why blame this government for things that previous governments have done too?

So its ok if it's a sandwich - just not a shoe?
Is this what you mean?
Just to be clear.
What I meant was, it would have been worse if it was a shoe. The PM could have sustained an injury if a shoe was thrown and hit her. Bread is soft, I imagine it would have been fresh.
I recall a shoe being thrown at John Howard during Q&A and the reaction it received on this forum. 😉
Shoe throwing is not uncommon form of protest against politicians. I am glad it was not a shoe this time.
Clearer?

Be a total waste of bullets to aim for the brains though.
Better chance of doing some real damage if they all bend over so I can aim for their rear ends as that's what they all talk out of ;-):-p

There was no proof positive that the sandwich was thrown at the PM.....some students shouted loser....... the reception was largely positive

Still not clear if you thought it ok to throw ANYTHING

Many of the families in Logan would also have been impacted by the $160+ cut per fortnight due to their removal from PPS to NewStart.
I've already condemned the behaviour ... but I can understand the frustration behind it.
