I loved the video, and my scottish husband loved it too.
I don't see one bit of cruelty in training a dog to do tricks. That couple have spent hours, upon hours with their dog. The dog is enjoying the job.
The dog in my avatar knows a lot of tricks. She sits, she walks on her hind feet, she gives me high five, and five on the other side. She goes between my legs and sits at my heal, she rolls over, she crawls, she barks softly, she will leave a treat, and gobble it up on command. She goes everywhere with us. She is a family member. I don't make her do tricks on a daily basis. I taught her these tricks when she was a puppy... I just wanted to see if she was smart, because people kept telling me that chi's are dumb. Gwen is not dumb. She liked the attention I gave her when I taught her the tricks. It was fun for both of us.
