Do you think it is about time eBay had a close look at "Report Button Abuse"?

Some posts that have 'earned' slaps have been for smilies, words like, ..it, common denominator, maturity, Ranga, befuddlement...... and the list goes on and on.

I am sure everyone can add a few of there own that have been slapped, not because they violated board policy but because someone was bored and thought it was "fun" to press the button.

I'm fed up with the constant reporting, the confected outrage, the tut tutting, the phoney "look how much I care" & the total cowardice of the annonymous button pushers. 

These boards make a mockery out of debate & community spirit.

I would appear that there has been a huge increase in reports in the last couple of days, I wonder if it is coincidence?
