Do you think it is about time eBay had a close look at "Report Button Abuse"?

Some posts that have 'earned' slaps have been for smilies, words like, ..it, common denominator, maturity, Ranga, befuddlement...... and the list goes on and on.

I am sure everyone can add a few of there own that have been slapped, not because they violated board policy but because someone was bored and thought it was "fun" to press the button.

LL have you thought that this thread could be the result of me noticing the increase in malicious reporting and prompting me to start the thread and bring it to the attention of the mods and eBay?

I see so many posts go missing & wonder what the reporters get out of doing it.

If they want to debate, want to come on here & participate in robust debate, then why do they remove anybody with a different opinion?? It seems to be a group of people who maintain the power on here & drive off others.

Is this behaviour a violation of community values & is CS really just a place a  for trolls, bullies  & stalkers to get off on.
