I haven't made ANZAC biscuits for years but thought I might do some again this year. I can't remember what recipe I used to use.

What's your favourite and can you share it please?

I found the Commonsense Cookery Book the best recipe for Anzac Biscuits.

In fact it is exactly the same recipe that is noted in my great-grandmothers Recipe Book under a different name (prior to WWI).  Don't have it on hand to remember the name.  Could be McIntosh something  or Rolled Oats Biscuits or similar.

I am a bit the same, have been looking at different recipes.

This one, in local paper from a cafe owner

1 cup plain flour

1 cup oats

1 cup sugar

3/4 cup coconut

125gms butter

2 tbls golden syrup

1/2 tsp bicarb

2 tbsp water

Bake 150C for 20 mins or so

One from Coles magazine, slightly different

1 cup plain flour

1 cup oats

1/2 cup caster sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

cup coconut

125gms butter

2 tbls golden syrup

1/2 tsp bicarb of soda

2 tbsp water

Bake at 180C for 15 mins for crisp biscuits.

For soft & chewy

omit brown sugar and increase the caster sugar to 3/4 cup - Bake for 12 mins

For thin and crispy

Omit the caster sugar and increase brown sugar to 3/4 cup - Bake for 15 mins
