Queensland is expected to sign up to the National Disability Insurance Scheme today, leaving Western Australia as the only state yet to join.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard is in Brisbane today and is expected to make an announcement with Queensland Premier Campbell Newman.
Earlier this week Mr Newman said he no longer saw any impediment to joining the scheme, which is now formally known as DisabilityCare.
Victoria signed up to the scheme last weekend.

He would have signed up a long time ago if Gillard had listened to him in the first place and agreed to an increase in the Medicare levy to help pay for it.
The only reason he is agreeing to it now is because Gillard "changed her mind"
To call this a win for Gillard is a joke...

It sounds like you really have something against Gillard.
The joke is not on Gillard.
What happens to Abbott's no confidence motion now the states have signed up and he has said he will support the policy?

I don't like to say "I told you so." but I predicted this, right from the start, when nobody signed up on the dotted line at the premiers meeting I said' it's like Union negotiations - nobody ever accepts the first offer.'
I think Barnett will be forced by public opinion to sign up eventually - but he does love to make himself look important on the national stage.
