Smoke and Haze?

We have lots of smoke and haze here in Glass House....and that funny yellow light that comes from the sun shining through smoke..would have thought Straddie was a bit far away for us to have copped their smoke?

We are just choking in the Cleveland area !!  can't even go outside .. been like it for days !!

  We have the house closed up but it is so bad its starting to seep inside ..

  I feel bad for the emergency people that are having to deal with the fires & evacuations in this heat .. hope they keep safe !

Smoke can travel quite far when the wind is right.

I remember reading many years ago how the Ash Wednesday fires smoke reached New Zealand

There are other fires around, some near us too, so there is lots of smoke. Local fire brigade says most of the smoke is from Stradbroke.

I heard it on the news that there are strong winds blowing towards us all the way from Colorado. 😉
