Kylie did you change the locks on the doors after your ex left?
I would be letting the police know your ex is hiding in nearby streets watching your movements.

Kylie, maybe go and phone the police ? Like.....now ?
ok.... Just got off phone.
called the local police station and they advised to called the Police Assistance line 131444
spent 20+ mins going through everything and have lodged an official report (malicious damage) and they send it through to local who will keep on file and also put my address on list for drive by checks.
i did mention the ex, but I didn't want to sound accusing, just gave facts of separation and that he hasn't taken it well and acting out of character. She has noted that a neighbour reported to us and that we have photos.
i didn't know there was a manhole bolt, I will get one ASAP.
i also need to chain up or put a wheel lock on trial empty trailer sitting upside the house, as it was pointed out that if they were to come back to collect they could easily discreetly load my household up in trailer and drive right off..... Sounds unlikely to me, but want to take all precautions.

yes, locks are changed.
have also just bought a new security screen door to be installed as my current one doesn't lock and sometimes doesn't close properly.
def mentioned the ex in my report, but still find it hard to believe he would do something like this?

Kylie you can get a "Trailer Cop" which fits inside the coupling of the trailer, so they can't hitch it up to a vehicle.
Here is a link so you know what it looks it

It is very strange that they tried to get in at the front, if they really wanted to nick stuff you would break in where you can hardly be seen.

Hey kylie! I agree with everyone else... My first thought was the ex too. I was thinking tho he prob did it so he could get in to scare With noises you so he could be the protector and you would take him back.

Seems more like, kids just mucking around...i.e. re-enacting a scene from mission impossible or some video game...who knows. Do you keep a ladder in your backyard in view? If so, lock it away. If not, is there anything else that might allow someone to climb on to your roof?
If not....then it may be nature...
Do you have possums living nearby? or even in your roof?. Depending on where you live, a possum might have decided to move in if the tiles were loose....? We regularly have a fat possum & his brood stampede across our colorbond roof...sounds like a herd of elephants. - just saying they like hanging around on roofs & they can remove tiles if they're loose.
Get your OH or BIL to go up in the roof & take a look around. If something or someone has been in there, it will be fairly obvious.

Thats exactly what my side neighbour said!
i guess I can only be on the ball and record every little thing just incase it is him and he does do something shouldn't.
