Spiders

I am totally petrified of spiders, makes no difference if they are daddy long legs, redbacks or tiny ones.

Right now I am in the sewing room, with a towel at the door and 2 dogs and a 4 yo in here. No food, no water.

I had to get a box of paperwork from the garage and bring it insideWoman Surprised to find something for my FIL's house sale.

So, I am looking.......... and from between the folds of papers, out comes a massive spider!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It isn't a hunstman Woman Indifferent it is bigger and huge!! So, lots of screaming, grab the surface spray and almost empty it, grab the vac and up it goes.................. then another one runs across the floor! The rest of the spray is now gone and spider 2 is up the vac with a plastic bag tied over the end. Woman Sad

As I went to replace the papers, another one is in the box!!!!!!!!!!!! so, opened the door, turfed it out on the patio, whacked on a lid and put a can of fuel on top.............

Now waiting for someone to come Woman Embarassed

The spider is massive, has a huge bulb type back end and dark brown.

Oh no, I feel your pain! I had to fend for myself against one huntsman recently and that was scarey enough, not sure how I'd cope with a whole family of big spidies. I can deal with dady long legs because I tell myself the kill the huntsmen, dont even know if thats realy true or not.

Is someone coming to save you?

No one is coming any time soon. My daughter is coming to collect the 4 yo in about 2 hours............. I am thinking of moving, taking only what is in my sewing room............

And those spiders with fat bodies are the scariest too.

I used to ring my dad and get him to save me from the spiders when I lived closer to him.

:shudder:

You need to get someone to let off an insect 'bomb' in the garage asap. How many others are at large in there?

I don't mind small spiders but big ones freak me out.

I'm a little concerned about you, the little kid and the dogs locked in a small room after spraying around all that poison!

Should we send out a SWAT team (small joke there)?

Good luck (with me it's cane toads - if there was one near my car at night, I'd sleep in the car and hope it was gone in the morning),

Marina.

Oh those naughty spiders made their home in the box until you disturbed them!

That's happened in my house too. Picked up a box from a storage place and literally hundreds of baby spiders came scuttling out. We were still spraying the house days later.

For me it's Euro wasps. I have been known to drop everything and run around screaming like a crazy woman so of course they chase me all over the garden.

Once there was one in the house. I almost had a heart attack. Wasps feature in my nightmares too.
