I hear Daikin are best, but they're also the most expensive and I'll be needing 2 so I'm not sure they'll be in the budget.
I got a quote from a guy who recommended Samsung, which looked pretty good, but I found a user review site that rated them rather poorly. They weren't even included in Choice's last review.
So what have you got and are you happy with it. I'm particularly interested in heating ability and energy efficiency rather than cooling.

I have 6 Daikin split cycle and over 5 years have only replaced the bushers in one. I have been happy with mine and they are used a lot.

Punch I have a Daikin and have had no problems with it though it's a cool only unit not heat and cool.
Yes they are a little on the expensive side but are one of the better brands on the market.

Mitsubishi convertor is what I have...recommended by my daughters friend who installed it for me. Quiet both inside and outside...seems to be ok power wise and love the fact I can heat one area instead of using the ducted heating.

I have a huge Mitsubishi-think its 7.5kw? cost quite a bit about 6yrs ago but brilliant.Have just had 2 Samsung installed but haven't tested really as yet.All 3 are inverters.
Airwell is complete rubbish-Kelvinator USED to be the best but don't know if they still make them.Had the Kelvinator in Sydney.
To be fair though,in QLD I only really use the cooling & extremely rarely use the heating.
