Spoiler

You have to be careful of the propellant, particularly if using it near a naked flame ... but I suppose that's obvious Robot tongue

My "HINT OF THE DAY" is ... when you can, cook without oil.

If I'm cooking mince, I cook it in water ... spag bol, burgers, whatever ... use water instead of oil.

I dry fry steak.

I cook turkey and pork in stock.

We use it here Martini, & I love it, less oil used in cooking is the best IMO

What? Call me stupid but it didn't occurr to me that I should perhaps spray away from an open flame lol!

But then again, cooking is not my strong point...

i recently bough an airfryer.  best thing ever.  you only need to add oil to home prepared chips and very dry food and then only a tiny bit.  it cooks everything from roasts to stirfrys and even cakes.  quick cheap and easy cooking, just the type i like.

Such is life.

That's a good idea Katy cos eventually enough fat comes out of those things when they're cooking, that you don't really need oil to start them off. I know someone who uses a bit of water for roasts too

Olive oil is good for you though Katy.  We do need good fats in our diet and olive oil is one of the good ones.

I think I've got a can in the cupboard but it's been there a while.  How long do they last?  I usually use the bottled oil and I just wipe it over the pan with a paper towel so that I don't have too much in there.
