St George Bank online

Does anybody here use it?? I have recently discovered that any transactions I make require a secure code authorization, which entails a text or call to my home or mobile phone......

today, it won't let me do it.....

I had never seen this before, did not request it.....and the queue is long to enquire by phone.

I just did it twice and twice it told me to log out etc. Then the call came? Grrrr!!!!

any ideas?

the code keys are handy to have,  in the past I had someone try to hack into my account I was alerted by the bank and at that stage I never had a code key don't think they had them when I first started doing internet banking , but I got one after that though.

Azurline, it is a new feature attached to the *pay anyone* transactions..eg when you have someones bank details and pay straight into their account.

It is to stop fraudulent activity, which I think is a positive step.

I am with Westpac and hubby is with St George, and we both have had to enter the code sent to us by sms, and it went through no problem. ๐Ÿ™‚  Its a 6 letter/number combination usually ๐Ÿ™‚

I had my first time with it about 9days ago, but im not sure exactly how long its been in service.

NAB  sms a different code each time for online transfers from my account to another persons.

Citibank have a permanent code number that you use each time, although I hardly ever use that account, so will probably forget what it is. It was compulsory, I couldn't log on one day until I got the new code.
