Kengillard didn't say she wanted to sell stuff, she just said she wanted a business at home. But she didn't give us any clues as to what kind?
Hairdressing? Beauty parlour? Holding craft classes? Becoming an Avon rep? Selling on ebay (the obvious one), walking dogs? Babysitting? Delivering junk mail? Car detailing? It all depends on what you actually like doing, and what your skills are. But the options are vast.

a friend of mine has the license to bake and sell cakes from her premises. She doesn't need a "commercial" kitchen, but it does have to be cleaned to within an inch of it's life and documented.
This is in Melbourne's west
Perhaps different states or councils have different rules? Not sure but I just watched a fb "disagreement" over this very thing. (Qld) Selling from home or from markets requires a licence and a kitchen which meets some standards apparently.

I have alot of friends who sell on FB, some make birthday cakes, some decorate cakes, make cup cakes etc..........
The one that makes B/cakes already has a licensed buss. outside FB, the one that makes cupcakes, works from home, she got a license, from the council, no big deal, still dont know if she needed it..........this is in Melbourne.
Plenty of other things to do to make money on FB.......make jewellery, make cards, kids clothes, s/book pages and the list goes on, and you dont need a license or permit to do any of it.
My daughter and some of her friends have a FB page and get plenty of work doing what they do from that, and they dont need any permit.

Dog Grooming - courses are cheap and once you can do it you can charge a fortune!

My reference was specifically about food, nothing else. I also sell on facebook but not food related.

I answered your reference about food, here in Vic.
The rest was for anyone else who maybe interested in working from home.
