Stranded on a Deserted Island ... What Would You Take?

You are allowed one work of literature, one food type (eg flour, rice, pasta etc), one box of the same canned food (eg canned tomatoes), one tool (hammer, saw, Swiss army knife),  and one item of clothing apart from what you are wearing.  

You can assume a plentiful supply of fresh, drinkable water, materials to build rough cooking facilities (eg a bbq), lots of driftwood, fish, palm leaves to make a shelter.

You will be rescued in about 2 weeks.  

I'd take LOTR, rice, canned tomatoes, and a state of the art Swiss army knife and a long warm coat.

canned stews are evil.  everything is so mushy and salty.

I don't like canned soups, either.  

And, canned or not, no-one will ever get me to eat a "cream of ________" soup ever again.

Food would be dried lentils.

Canned food could be anything, it's only to rip the cans apart for makeshift knives and other tools.

Tool would be a camping flint.

Clothing. a raincoat, which can be used as a coat, hat and to make fresh water thru recondensation.

How could know for sure that you would be rescued?

I would take

Swiss army knife.

Rice

canned lentils/beans etc.

if it's only for 2 weeks katy....I'm with you.

and  condensed  real fruit juice....would catch fish etc. 

I could probaby build my own  methane gas electicity?:^O prob not in 2 weeks tho.

I like your imagination, Annie.  You know that you would be rescued because this is my scenario and I'm assuring you of this 🙂 You will be rescued by a multi-millionaire in a private yacht, with exquisite food and drink and bathrooms and spare clothes and taken to the port of your choice anywhere in the world and he may even want to marry you 🙂

If I'd thought about it earlier, I might have added coconut milk to "cure" the raw fish ... but then I'd need herbs and lime juice ...
