so, who's watching this show tonight at 8:30 on SBS?
if it's not cancelled that is. The people involved have tried to get it wiped because it represents them in an unfavourable light.

it is a documentary. what made you think
it was a reality tv show?

My opinion is that most people think reality television is reality. Poor sods, empty lives.

The 'stars' were not the worst end of things and they weren't the best either. There are certainly a lot worse than the ones who were displayed where at least some members of the group are trying to get out of the rut.

interesting how differently others perceived
the same show.
maybe you saw what you wanted to see?
congratulations SBS and all involved in this important documentary. It depicts the real struggles experienced by many individuals and families across the nation. For me the challenges faced by the people profiled are not uncommon and across the nation we have caring people standing up to try and make a difference in a non judgemental and empathetic way. The sense of hope in the face of adversity expressed by many demonstrated resilience and I hope empathy by viewers.
I believe the producer(s) did a very good job of not sensationalising, generalising or stereotyping the families and individuals and I look forward to the next episodes.

Language has nothing to do with one’s level of income; one can always control what comes out of their mouth. I have never heard so many F bombs and C bombs in one show.

Language is impacted by the environment one lives in. If you live in an environment where everyone that surrounds you has a limited vocabulary chances are your vocabulary will also be limited, unless you read a lot and venture out of the surrounds you live within. The use of c and f words is often an extension of that.

Glee, I can appreciate what you're saying, however, I 'm sure the ice-addicted son (can't remember his name) did not use that language in front of the judge when he appeared in court.
