Stupid

I have always tried not to use that word, as the definition can sometimes show as lack of intelligence (which is not the fault of the unintelligent person)

In fact my grandchildren think it is a naughty, bad word.

I find myself muttering it more and more lately though, one day I may actually say it out loud. Some of these words I would never use.

If I kick my toe because I didn't have shoes on, I would think how stupid I was....................if I put washing in the machine and forget to turn it on.................etc.

What do you think when you say Stupid?

I used to post on Town Square and Soapbox and on the Antiques forums. But not for quite a while now, since the format of some of those boards has changed and some of the more interesting posters are no longer there.

Yeah I think the new format has made it harder.

Night shift eh', that's a hard pull. Nights are tough... Yes?

I used to work a variety of shifts, some days and an occasional stint of nights; no more than five in a row but it did upset my diurnal rthyms so that I'd find it hard to adjust back again.

I still stay up late more than is good for me.

I'm up at 3:30 in the morning. I exercise then off to work, we start at 6am. I'm very close to retirement, 37 years doing what I do, very beat up and sore. They want to work you to death so you don't collect a pension. 🙂

here is a link to a good local radio station which I am listening to right now, just in case you'd like it. they play a large variety of music at different times of the day. no adverts. it's listener-supported radio. it's my favourite station.

since you can't receive it over the airwaves. you can listen online. 🙂

My early shifts used to start at 6.45 am and my late shifts used to finish at 11.15 pm and often I'd have to come back next day for an early shift.

it's a bit "stressful" to do that for a long time. Hang in there and try to keep safe and well and not injure yourself too badly.
