Can an athiest please tell me why they get upset when someone takes hostages and kills them or when someone like Islamic State beheads children?

I do not understand you .On the one hand you tell me you believe in evolution and survival of the fittest and on the other you get upset when the species does exactly what darwin says it will do.DISCUSS as bob would say.

Evolution is not about survival of the fittest via murder but natural selection via adaptation to the enviroment.

Can you answer this question that no one else seems to be able to?

God created Adam and Eve who had two sons,Cain and Abel.

Cain killed Able and then got married.

So who did he marry?

More correctly, evolution is the survival of the most adaptable. If everyone ended up killing each other, the specie will not survive. We have a complex brain that allows us to think.

Explain to me on your world-view. If God asked you to kill everyone, would you do it? If God killed everyone, is God moral?

YHWH would not ask me to kill everybody.He has no need to kill everybody and the Scriptures are clear that He wont do that.He will kill billions but not everyone.He is moral in whatever He does.Do you blame the potter if he smashes the pot he made?

strapping on a bomb, using a gun, holding others hostage is NOT showing strength at all. It shows weakness, narrow mindedness sometimes mentally ill but never strength.

Also, survival of the fittest is about just that surviving in the wild, just to survive, to live to hunt food. Nothing at all to do with guns and bombs and torture and evil hearts

The point is clear.True Believers in God can rightly complain when people kill others,whether it be in God's name or not.Evolutionists have no right to complain.The theory of evolution predicts and justifies such behavior.

Just for the record, there's no rule saying that Atheists have to accept evolution. However saying that whether anyone accepts it or not, it's still a fact. Oh and there's no rule either that Atheists have to get upset when someone takes hostages etc etc......

It is not a fact at all.Show some evidence of it.How about those fossil records showing a change in kind.How about explaining how something survived before it evolved the necessary organs for life.How about explaining how random events  fell into place so well.Calling evolution a fact simply shows your ignorance.

No one can answer it?That is a question asked by fools on a regular basis.Go and study the Bible because the answer is there.Fools simply read about Cain and Abel and then think they know the lot.The Bible does not say they had only 2 children and you show your ignorance by suggesting it does.
