There is good and bad in each and every budget that is handed down but I am close to being speechless at the callousness exhibited in this budget. Creating a surplus means nothing if its at the expense of social services. It means nothing if unneccessary hardship is created for those who are most vulnerable. It means nothing if even more people are pushed into poverty. It means nothing if the majority of people lose. A surplus gained under such conditions is worthless. Society needs to thrive not suffer to be deemed successful. People are not numbers or statistics but real living and breathing individuals.It is about time that those in power realise this.

The people affected by benefit cuts need jobs. What has this Govt done to provide them? Education & training is great, but if there is no job at the end of the course for the participants how is that going to improve anything?

A person with a certificate and no job is no better off than a person with no certificate and no job.

yes, nothing is really free in this world, yes, money does not grow on trees but I'm never going to support anyone who tells us that our tax money should be put into a pot-for more lying reasons for whatever.

If Hockey and Abbott were genuine ref. this medical research facility caper then why have they SLASHED funding to hospitals and education??

They lie, lie and lie and usually snigger and laugh as they do.

I do NOT believe these critters at all.

I do NOT trust these mobsters one teeny-weenie smidgen of a bit.

I have kudoed your comment cos I wanted to !! .....is a real wish actually.

Can someone with political understanding of how things work please explain how this situation is possible/could happen?.....is this something like a double dissolution that I have heard mentioned and mumbled recently....if so, please can someone explain. Much appreciated
