What input did Julia G have in this book. I thought it was based on Kerry-Anne Walsh's detailed notes she took over a certain period of time?
Book review:
Apparently the book is taken from the author's private diary during the time period.

Yes you are correct. Gillard did not give Walsh any interviews for the book. The only Gillard quotes were public quotes that Walsh recorded during the time life of the book.
Interestingly, most of the book relates to the role of the media. Not just Murdoch but also Fairfax media. I find it odd that newstart hasn't mentioned this.
I suspect he only read the blurb on the inside front cover...
