Yes, around that number for pop of Indonesia. Spying on someone you call 'mates, friends' ?
Australia's relationship with our nearest and most important neighbour is going to be further strained by revelations that Australia's intelligence gathering in Indonesia has gone all the way to the president.
The ABC and the Guardian Australia have obtained documents showing Australian intelligence tracked president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's phone in August 2009 and targeted his wife and his inner circle.
Last week Prime Minister Tony Abbott was keen to play down the significance of spying allegations, saying that he was very pleased "we have such a close, cooperative and constructive relationship with the Indonesian government".

You have to ask a couple of questions
Who was doing the spying?
how long has it been happening?
Who authorised the spying?
Who exposed the spying?

Indonesia has just recalled their Australian ambassador ?
yes, debra it seems they have.
"Indonesia has recalled its ambassador to Australia over revelations spies targeted the phone of president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and those of his wife and inner circle.
Documents obtained by the ABC and Guardian Australia show Australian intelligence attempted to listen in to Mr Yudhoyono's telephone conversations on at least one occasion.
Spies also tracked activity on his mobile phone for 15 days in August 2009."
