Tesla's big battery a shining light for SA but storms leave neighbours in the dark

why is it some people cant get it that power outages from storms are going to be with us forever no matter what the govt does.

unless you can spend the money to go 'off grid'

there is allways a possiblity for a power line to go daown from a lightening strike....or even someone knocking down a power pole in an accident.

if your fridge stops working because the compressor dies, you dont blame the govt. you say bugga me fridge blew up. it wasnt planned, it just happens. same as everything, cars, hotwater systems, airconditioners ect ect.

the govt cant predict when or where a problem might happen that puts the power off in your house. but we just hope its fixed as soon as possible.

so to start ranting, oh i can see the wind turbines from my house but i have no power! is stupid. i could say i can see the lights on my xmas tree but they wont light up!

oh, i havent plugged them in, doh!
