Tetanus Injection

The OH had a nasty fall last night.  He went to see his Doctor today and was given a Tetanus injection thats good.

This tetanus injection also had, Diphtheria and Pertussis in it as well.

We should all have boosters every ten years or so, even if we do not have any open wounds.

My last one was when a water dragon bit my finger a few years ago.  They carry a lot of bacteria in their mouths.

Boostrix (tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough) is the recommended booster and the one supplied to surgeries for use

You can get ADT (adult diphtheria and tetanus) for those who cannot have the whooping cough component ).

But Boostrix is the one typically given, these days.

I wa just thinking the other day the last Tetanus injection I had was years ago, when I was walking past a car and this huge dog stuck his head out the open window and bit my arm.

 I phoned the doctor and he said because the skin was broken had to have a tetanus injection.

Think I should have another one next time I go to Docs
