My egg slicer carries enjoys a 5 star rating in this house lurker.:-D
Sounds like your avo wasn't ripe enough! I like a nice ripe avo that's just shy of mushy... nom nom *licks lips*.
One of my fave sangas is mashed banana and avo. 😄

Dixo, I got mine in the QVB building in Sydney about two years ago. I think from Victoria's Basement. It's the Avanti brand and it's very strong with a good stumpy handle and very sharp. There are some with a thin wire as a cutter but they look weak to me.
Try googling Avanti Avocado Slicer, there's a few websites in Aus with them including ebay. 😉

Sorry about the size but I could only drag and drop the pic here as the post button goes beneath the bottom of the page and you can't access it from the paper clip link.
Anyway that's mine. 🙂

Oh now I see how it works, Mon...
It has side bits that scoop out the sliced avo. Very clever!

I have an avo saver. It keeps it fresh for a couple of days. I don't have to wrap it in plastic of anything else. I like it because I can stick it in my esky and it doesn't get so squashed!

Hi cezm 🙂
Just had a quick squiz at your me page. 🙂
I had to close my store too. In a way it was liberating to clear a lot of the stock which had been sitting on the shelf.
