These redditors, with over 60 years worth of life experience, shared their knowledge with the world. Here are the things they wish someone had told them back in the day.
Knees are important. cherish them" - electronicat
"Your life is not as serious as you think it is"- mama146
"Pay your bills and stay the hell out of debt. If I could have paid myself all the money I've paid out in interest over the years, I'd be retired already"- eey0r3
"Always keep moving, even if just walking"- BlushRedTail
"Remember that life is like a bank account: You don't want to spend everything you have right away, but you don't want to be a miser and save every penny. Yes, you're only young once, but, with any luck, you'll also be old at some point. Plan on a career, but don't let it overcome the rest of your life. Take care of yourself, but don't make it an obsession. Focus on your kids, but leave room in your life for yourself. Save enough money so that you'll have enough for the future and for emergencies, but spend enough now to avoid looking back with regret"- tfsd
I love this one:
"Books. Read them. All the cliches apply (sunblock, flossing, travel). But don't stop reading books, lots and lots and lots of books. **bleep**py ones, disturbing ones, difficult ones, fun ones. You can only live your one tiny life, but with books, you can live thousands more"- cipherdexes
and this one:
"Treat people better than they deserve, especially those who don't deserve it"- chortle-guffaw
and this one:
"Never be afraid to ask for more pay. You WILL need it later"- vlhurg
What's your favourite?

Being an **bleep** is easy, being kind is often hard. But you will learn nothing from being an **bleep** and learn much from being kind.

My favourite is the one about books, particularly reading the disturbing ones. Same with movies. Stops you from getting too settled into that comfy rocking chair.

I liked that on about the books too, Bright, and that's what prompted me to post the article.
"you have only one tiny life but through books you can have many"
