very odd behaviour considering they keep ranting and yelling 'budget emergency' a person could be forgiven for thinking it was deliberate it seems only the rather rusties believe it now though.

It is clear that changes to Government spending have contributed to the doubling of the deficit.

That's ok. The boss will make sure it is reported being a Labor lie and cover up.

"It is clear that changes to Government spending have contributed to the doubling of the deficit."
Like these DY?, or do you have actual figures to show us?
The pre-election year splurge did not help, other than put the country more in the fiscal poo.
Changes in spending? doubling of the deficit? a reputable source would be good, because for some reason when the pink Myopics write something here, I tend to think of PPTSD self assurance treatment, (codswallop).

I note monman that you were very selective with your graphs from that site.
Because of course the graphs that you show are out of context and do not show a summary of the GDP or the GDP per capita which would put that (minimal) increase in spend and increase in debt into context.
I suppose the most important graph - the one that shows that Australias GDP per capita (ie. the sign of a healthy economy) continually increased with the last government - would not have been good for your argument?
And of course what no graph can show us YET is the effect of what all that spending the current govt is planning will do to our GDP next financial year and (probably more telling) in 2015-16. And at this rate (as Bowen is pointing out) it isn't looking too good.
Pink myopics indeed....

Why don't you just read the article I posted and you may get a grasp of it.

but the blind blue ties will continue with their codswallop
OECD warns government against harsh budget
A week away from the federal budget and the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development has warned that Australia's economy is too fragile to absorb too many spending cuts.
