HELP!!! We are being monstered by a gang of magpies. We made the mistake of feeding them – now they hang around our deck andstrut up and down on the paving outside the front door demanding attention. They sit on the window ledge, peer in through the windows and, if we are slow to respond, tap on the glass to hurry us up-. Worse still, I think word has got around - there was a hopeful looking crow on our front porch this morning!.
Actually we rather love them - the boldest ones perch on the chair backs of our outdoor setting and eat out of my hand.

Still fighting fit, Clair. I had to leve OH to wait on them this morning as I had to go out, but he tells me they were as vocal and demanding as ever. The numbers have diminished a bit though - a few months ago we were getting up to 13 at a time, now they down to about 6 or 7. No doubt the next breeding season will see the numbers swell again, though.
I've got some photos on my phone, I'll see if I can post them.

We have all been feeding the little possum at work. Now every time I take a break outside during an evening shift he'll stand there begging me for more food.
uh oh.
