The Most Radioactive Places on Earth

I knew it, I always said that the real WMDs (weapons of mass destruction) was right here in our own community grocery stores, gas stations, and carry outs.

Sigh, it's really not funny, I've lost family to this.

I couldn't find the one I was looking for. A documentary about how they (big tobacco) used to say smoking was good for you and paid their own doctors to make claims it was healthy. Had a retired waitress near the end, she never smoked in her life but because she was around it working in a smoking restuaruant all her life, was dying of cancer. The company where she worked took no responcability and left her hanging in the wind.

This is a paticularly extreeme deadly softkill. Far more so than what Monsanto puts in our food and water. the GMOs, MSGs, Aspertiane, fluoride, murcury and lithium. Worse, we can't avoid it if we live in areas where many others smoke. It's forced on us in the air we have to breathe.

Paintsew,

Thanks for posting, very interesting, I've worked in a few nuclear power plants. We were supplied film badges and dosimeters. To keep a check on radiation.

I'm lead to believe that police make people smoke, it's their fault. 😉

You know something jet, i'd be happy to discuss the police with you in a topic about the police and i really hope you, or no one here ever has to go through what i did at the hands of the sheriffs.

The jist of it is I'm not surprized. Tobacco alone is bad enough, after you go through all the things in products made from tobacco, it can look as though they are trying to kill people or at the verry least, ruin their health. One can argue the logic of killing off one's customer base, but there's no shortage of people and no shortage of young kids taking it up as well. Alls they gotta do is make it look cool.

I'm so alergic to even being around a smoker who isn't smoking, in a smoker's house or car, I get sick. I'll have my coat pulled up over my face, and people say, "I'm not smoking right now, whats your problem" It's that bad, i don't even go in the checkout ilse with the tobacco case. No waiting?,I'll wait.

Funnily enough, before the Kakadu mine was opened, the Aboriginals knew something was "funny" about the place and stayed away from it.

Of course many years later they found the Uranium ore body.
