This format really does stink. There's no chance of being sociable anymore and checking what others have posted.
Sadly, so many seem to have just left the boards and given up.:-(

Hi everyone - bit quiet in here tonight. Everyone must have a life :-D.
I feel like going to bed but if I go too early. I'm up before the crows! If I go to bed to read, I'll go to sleep.
Ordered a Christmas present today for our two kids (35 & 32). I have taken my dad's war medals to have them refurbished and mounted and ordered a duplicate set. I didn't realise that they get permission from the Army Records office and have the duplicate set made at the mint - you can get copies but they only have one side and "copy" engraved on the back. The replicas are just like the originals so we ordered them. Bit ๐ฎ at the price - just on $500 but they're something I wanted them to have. One day, I will get their father's done as well. I know they will both appreciate them.
I bought our son, dil and gs their theme park tickets for Christmas (used last week), but I always make up a stockings so just need to buy all those bits and pieces then I am finished.
We gave our son and family our large Christmas tree today plus lots of lights and decorations. We are in a unit and haven't got the room since we bought a new larger dining setting. We bought a 3 ft tree that fits on our coffee table.
Will say goodnight to everyone ....

Thanks dilly - dd always marches with my dad's platoon in Melbourne on Anzac day then goes to the re-union. She is also a member of the younger set so I know she will love them.
My ds was very close to his grandfather and knows he is getting them and is wrapped. He loves history and often goes to the local historical society so I know he's happy as well.
Not long now until your on holidays. I bet your starting to get excited.
Off to bed now ... goodnight โฅ
