Nah Dixo...I picked the Happy Traveller up at an op shop ages ago for $5. I couldn't resist him. Picked him up and put him back at least 3 times before I finally gave in to his charm.

Your'e right it looks like such a huge effort went into making him. But the lady at the oppie pooh-poohed it off, saying the ladies at the local church social club make them all day long.

Well they're welcome to it. I haven't done any knitting for ages, even when I did, making something like that would be way to fiddly for me.

But I love him sitting on my lounge with his little mates, he always looks so cheerful.

Hi Prim and Deb - hot down here in the Latrobe Valley as well - 40 expected and I've hired the machine the steam clean the carpets :O.  At least it should dry quickly.

Good morning Sandy, it is clear blue skies and sunny outside but still cool inside this morning. I have a sleeveless top on and my arms are cold. I don't mind this weather as the humidity affects me more lately but I am sure those on vacation are wondering 'what tha' :).

Prim we are lucky enough to have an air conditioner in this house, which we both sat in front of yesterday  :^O

& ceiling fans in the bedrooms, but it's still not enough  😄

I'd forgotten how much weatherboard houses heat up  😮

It is almost impossible to exist in the high density inner suburbs or in country towns with few breezes and without air con. I hate to think how many will suffer this year because of the astronomically increased electricity fees which will preclude them from turning it on.
