Taggart...hmmm, my least favourite of ABC's Friday night crime shows.
I did like the Thorne series especially the one before last "Sleepyhead". Unforunatley I dozed off and only just caught the end. Was going to get the book off Amazon, but might wait til it turns up in the oppies. I'm such a cheapskate lol.

Considering the book was first released in 2001 I don't think you're being a cheapskate at all, should be able to pick up a copy at the oppies for about $2.50 or so...why not try. I like to try new authors from time to time, read the back & immediately thought...hmm, this might be interesting, have been hooked on his books ever since, can't wait for his new release.

In all honesty, the TV Series just didn't give either "Sleepyhead" or "Scaredy Cat" justice.

My least favourite crime show on ABC just HAS to be "Midsomer Murders", the practically the whole county has been killed off, and as for his nerdy, interfering, know-it-all wife, she gives me the jimmybrits!

hehehe 69 you do kind of wonder who is left & I know it was kinda of corny but I did watch it.Some of those 3 part mini crime series on auntie have been great too,I can`t think of the name but the show was like bones but much better....does anyone know the name?

Was it Val McDermid's "Wire In the Blood", "Silent Witness", or perhaps "Whitechapel", if you find out the answer, please let me know otherwise I'll be searching the net all night.

Couldn't even force myself to watch "Bones", the main character was always called "Tempe" in the books and not BONES, she was a French Canadian, don't even read Kathy Reich's books anymore...the American high-handed approach just killed my enjoyment.

had a nice day today, sitting out in the sunshine drinking coffee with a friend, came home to do housework but ended up with surprise visitors. Just about to get dinner under way

A work day for me. OH just cooked dinner....lamb shanks in red wine, mashed potato, snow peas, broccoli, beans, corn and carrot. It was delicious and just right for this cold, wet, windy night.
