Thinking about taking on the secret santa for 2011 if we have time

can any one tell me exactly how to do it so I can see if I think I can manage it.

bubbz, From my very limited knowledge of Secret Santa:

Firstly you MUST put a $ limit on the pressies, then put everyone's name in a hat, container or whatever, each person draws out a name, all are supposed to keep this knowledge to themselves, then they trot along to the nearest shop & purchase what THEY THINK their receiver would like (which ain't always the most appropriate, but that's half the fun), put all the gifts under the tree and you get to play Santa. Somehow my boss always managed to draw my name out of the hat, which was a bonus...I always received the most wonderful bottle of chaddonay. Do you think he might have pulled a couple of strings or two??? 😉

I have decided to let it go this year as by the sound of more time is required to organize it all.

Any particular Paenfolds or Wolfblass wines you like?

They are just near me and I can get them from cellar door sales LOL They will even supply the foam boxes for posting.

Good move bubblz, if Secret Santa involves all I've read on you other thread, you're best to start at least 6 months before Christmas.

Wolfbalss White Label is rather nice, but my very, very favourite white wine is Houghtons White Burgundy, before it became the 'IN' wine to drink O/H used to purchase it for about $5.00 a bottle.

Never been in a secret santa. Our little Quilting Forum has a Bon Bon swap, you fill up the inside of a roll of paper towel, with all things quilty, haha. It really is a bit of fun.

Good morning Snotties. I am missng the magic carpet and I hope we get it back real soon 🙂 I so enjoyed the trips. I hope the tour guide is organising some fabulous trips if they have any free time.

Personally I would like to fly over Antartica at some time.

Morning Snotties. Ohh Primary, Antartica sounds like fun.

Birthday Party today for my grand daughter Hannah, she will be 3 on Monday (that's the day we have her), Poppy is not well enough to go so we are keeping her present till then, have a small one to give her today. That 3 years went so quickly.

Time does go quick that is for sure. I look at my daughter who is nearly 9 and I think hang on where did that go I can still see that little baby she was.

I am missing the magic carpet too.
