fish are much harder to care for than greyhounds, weekly water changes. constantly testing the water to get everything just right. adding this and that. having sudden deaths and cant figure out why. ect ect

When it is possible, we are going to rescue and adopt a greyhound. Can't do it yet because we have two cats and we don't have the appropriate place or space that they would need. However, we have joined up with a greyhound adoption agency and financially support them.

Hi David. I think that (pet) greyhounds are more like cats in a funny sort of way than they are dogs .. they are so gentle and affectionate; we have two sets of friends who have one each and their dogs are just gorgeously polite, handsome and friendly. We get to take them for walks from time to time and we have a great time.
It's not an option for us to adopt yet though, but it certainly will be in a couple of years for sure ...

I've know people in the cat world who have also had greyhounds.
Also I've been told by them that greyhounds are not particularly active dogs. Far from it in fact. Get one who likes cats and what you've got is an even more combined effort to take over your favourite lounge suite.
Years ago I knew someone who found a dumped greyhound in the bush and took her home. She was extremely friendly and sweet natured, and a most gorgeous fawn/tan sort of colour. She was also very grateful to be taken in and it was soon like they'd had her for years. It's been a long time but Vale Honey.
