hi tracey - oh I don't mind at all, as much i was nervous about getting it right, it turned out to be a bit of a fun adventure for me. of course it is very nice to get $200 worth of gratitude though!! (they would have had a much bigger bill for a professional to do it) The principal is thrilled & that's the only opinion that mattered to me.

and today - one of my schools that I supply with chairbags called me, & placed an order of 50 chairbags & 30 library bags... omg, good thing I anticipated them, & have already got a good number in my stock. They are not needed until end of Jan, but at least I won't be sewing them during the summer hols because they will all be done & boxed by end of school this yr!! that's good $$ for me

And with Christmas coming up you don't want to be just sewing all the time

$200 is not bad for something you would have done for free

darn those gremlins tezza - what a pest for you? do you know what's causing it?

tracey - i started making the chair bags a couple of months ago, setting aside half a day most weeks. that has made a huge difference in how many i have in my stock, well in advance of being needed. And yes, with Christmas coming up, I don't want to be madly trying to finish them... or sacrificing family time when the kids are on summer hols. I've beenmaking them for a few yrs now, so i have a pretty good system in place now, quite efficient, If i say so myself

What's for dinner at yours?? i'm doing something with pork, so i'll have to go soon & get started on that

oh yum, i love chicken pie, that was very industrious of you tracey!
I finally hit on a good chicken pie recipe only recently, having tried many that I didn't like.

This was really easy using a cooked chook and it didn't have a pastry base. I like quick cooking during the week, save the more labour intensive stuff for the weekend
