I'm not the Prime Minister so that comment is irrelevant.
Quote from Bill Shorten:
Abbott's speech at G20 was 'weird and graceless'
I agree.

Ha ha. Malcolm Farr said on the Insiders that Abbott shouldn't be left alone with his own mouth.

And this......
โWell, you know we are focused on meeting our existing targets and it is all very well to talk about what might happen in the far distant future but we are going to meet our five per cent reduction target within six years. So, we are talking about the here and now. We are talking about what Australia is doing in Australia right now. We are talking, let me stress, about what Australia will do in Australia right now. We are talking about the here and now. We are talking about the practical; we are talking about the real. We are not talking about what might hypothetically happen 15, 20, 25, 30 years down the track. We are talking about what we will do and are doing right now and that is what I think the Australian people expect of us.โ
And as someone has already done the work on this. The PMโs quote that commences with โWell you knowโฆโcontains 141 words. 45 of those words (close to one third) include: talk/talking/talking about = 9 times; now/here and now/right now = 6 times. If a Gr 6 student did this, the evaluation would be โrambling & ineffective communication!โ Effective Leaders are Visionary, they anticipate the future and enrol, empower and enable their followers to see and make plans for the future. They are also effective communicators.
It really is very sad.

It is a bad speech.
but we are going to meet our five per cent reduction target within six years.
He doesn't know for sure that is going to happen either.
In six years time isn't the here and now either.
Would get at the most 2/20 if that was a tertiary assignment.

Yeah, I often think that when he is talking about timeframe after the next election.. he can't be sure he will be the next PM... surely he won't be, he has alienated many sectors of Australians... aged pensioners, uni students, disabled, people suffering illness, Armed Defence members, women who expected to receive his original parental leave payment that he promised........................
