Another 4 years of a Labor/Green Government that is infused with arrogance and entitlement.
For those that don't know, Canberra is an 'affluent' but left-leaning polity.
The Liberals (no Nationals here) rolled their moderate leader after the last election, where they won 11 of 25 seats. They are unlikely to even garner that this time around.
The replacement for the party leader is a hard right ****** whose election strategy was to pull stunts, rather than try to convince Canberrans that he was fit to govern.
It seems that the ACT Liberals don't ever expect to win government (though they have had their chances) and are more interested in internal politics than the real thing.

I suppose that is why Labor won.

I suspect that is so.
The best thing the Libs can do is to dump Alistair Coe as leader. A man who entered paid employment as a MLA at 24. Who is a right-wing ideologue. Who has no grasp on reality.
It says something about the Canberra Liberals that they would think somebody like that would ever be able to sway a majority. It seems to come down to ideology rather than any concept of governing.
My regret is that Barr and Rattenbury will have another 4 years of arrogance. They both need a reality check, but I appear to be in the minority.

Not much has changed since I lived in Canberra in the late 60s.
Labor kept a firm grasp on the seat by having a candidate who worked hard for the transient Services community. His reputation preceeded him!

Arrogance and entitlement must be in oversupply in Canberra
