I think it is fair now & worthwhile as the grants went to more than one school. I see the merit in it
But you saw "no merit" in protecting those Jewish children then. You wanted the money to go to welfare recipients.

What? I don't need backing up as I have said what I think, in a polite as could possibly be put way,, but you now want to go away and forget you ever said anything. I can understand that and you have every right to do so.

LD as I've said a number of times already, I didn't think it fair that tax payers pay for a bomb proof wall for one school when we are supposed to be lightening our belts etc. as I have already said now that I see that it was given in govt grants to a number of schools, I see it differently
Is that OK with you?
No it is NOT allright with me as your initial comments were cruel and thoughtless and you saw vulnerable children as fair game to take a swipe at Jewish children who had been terrorised on their way from school.
You said that Jews could fund their own protection. I have avoided adding any connotation on what you meant by your comments to avoid any hostility.
Now as you are completely backing away from your original stance then I think I'll leave it at that.

my apologies. i must have misunderstood.
i was under the impression you thought the
grants were not justified because we could no afford them.
you posted:
I was a bit shocked that we taxpayers had funded a bomb proof wall, in these times of tightening our belts etc etc.
again sorry for misinterpreting that.

Well you'd better get over it then as my comments were nothing of the sort.
Here's what you said:
I believe that if Jewish schools want bomb protection that they could probably fund it themselves.
What about our own kids in public schools, who is going to give them protection from bombs?
& yes, I am happier for my taxes to go to those who really need help
