Looks huge on the news.....interesting that a neighbour has stated that she knew the guy for many years and he seemed ordinary, now you wouldn't expect them to walk around with a sign would you lol

Allow me to make a suggestion ..... you can tear me apart if you wish.

If the Muslim's in general are serious about being peaceful they could easily find those who are a threat to Australia and deal with them, otherwise, they are condoing their behaviour.

I agree with your comment rabbit however how do we know that this hasn't been happening? We would never be privy to this information, maybe their own people are keeping the authorities informed as information leaks to them.

I would hope they are rabbit, and their advice /knowledge would be the best of all. I've seen a few interviews on Telly where some Muslim leaders have have said they will be doing that, keeping an eye out

There's even a possibility that that's how these guys were caught? Have the police revealed where they got their information from? I don't know

David Hicks was our neighbour for years as a kid and young teen, seemed like any other rat bag teen.

I don't think the idea was dealing with them themselves though, they said they'd be handing over info to the police if they were suspicious of anyone

and it was only a matter of time before we had major issues here, they have no interest in  assimilation and only want to continue what they claim to be getting away from.

Strange people and even stranger we are happy to have them here

On further reflection, I suppose it would be difficult if the 'potential terrorist' is your brother, sister, cousin, uncle, best friend etc as indeed MOST would be.

Maybe, but Australian's would also face the same dilemma if they knew a family member was guilty of or planning something evil

the same LAWS would apply in that case - if you knew anyone who was planning something evil, and didn't try to stop them and/or report them, then you are an accessory-before-the-fact - do we still have those in law?
