I wonder what will happen to all the nay Sayers, war monger cryers and Abbott bashing threads that blame him for everything? I wonder just what agenda they are pushing, what motivates them to crow and cry every day, no matter how successful the police and our security forces are handling this terror threat, (home grown) and just how serious this threat is to innocent people in Australia?
I wonder what they'll do and say if (God forbid) a violent attack is made on an innocent citizen? who will they cast their gimlet eye over then? who will they cast blame on then?, Bill?, no Bill is in agreement with all the security being put in place, Bill is in agreement with all actions of our police and security, so one wonders just what is going on here? what is the problem they are having with this operation?
Is it because cheap political point scoring is all that they know?
I wonder just what will happen to our country if a tragedy of magnitude befell us, would the Australian spirit be there? would the mateship emerge or would the biased and disappointed be to the fore of whinging and complaining that not enough was done.

How surveillance may have stopped a Sydney beheading
**bleep** really because so far there has been nothing to substantiate that a beheading was planned. All of those people raided and nearly all have been let go with no charges so far.
So whats your point, are you saying that the threat should have been ignored? Are you saying that they should have held back until a violent act had happenened then gone in to arrest them after the fact?
I'm curious as to why you are so against the operation carried out by the police and security forces.

Please explain just what this cartoon you posted is for.
This is a serious threat to Australia.

I'd be interested too. Does it really take another murder like Lee Rigby's to make ppl wake up? Would that even wake ppl up to what's happening? Do they even care as long it's not on their turf?

To reply to polksadillie - why would I give up my freedom to live in places like that? If on the off chance I did - I would be either raped/imprisioned/beheaded within the first day because I believe in equality between the sexes
Why would you be giving up your freedom? You might be living there because of work. Plenty of people do. You would be treated in the same way that you treat them. With respect, I hope. Fiji? South America? China?

Radical islamists do not treat anybody with "respect" they hate this country and all we stand for.
We see it in the way they protest, we see it in the crime and drugs they push to make money to send to isil
The people being discussed on this thread are these, not the muslims who do not approve of isil.
Political point scoring is all the forum has descended into now, no debate at all only argument and Abbott bashing and no real conversation.
So let us hear your thoughts on isil and its supporters in this country, and how you propose to deal with them.
Sorry lovetoday this is not directed to you.

Thanks for posting, some need a reminder of just what is happening in our country and leave off with the political point scoring and cheap political potshots.
One wonders if anything happened to one of their own( a random act of violence by a isil sympathiser) what would they want the government and our security forces to do then?
Respect the rights of terrorists and their sympathisers? wait until they had absolute proof? or stop them before they act? I know what I prefer and too bad if some toes get stepped on in the process.
A free and democratic country is what we have but we have to guard our freedoms and protect our country and our people and that's just what the government, security, police and military are doing.
