Agnostics/Atheists: What would it take for you to believe God exist?
What sort of argument/evidence would you need to change your mind?

Hey Softail. Say, if it can be definitively proven that Jesus did not raise from the dead (say they found remains of his bones, don't ask me how) or that the original bible manuscript was found and it didn't contain the claims as in the later manuscripts. Would that be enough to change your mind?

It's OK, Bob. I know you are struggling with the idea that God does not exist, just pray a little more earnestly and ask forgiveness.

There are those who believe his bones HAVE been found. In 1980, a tomb was discovered in Jerusalem that contained several ossuaries. The tomb dates from around the time of Jesus. One had the inscription "Jesus, son of Joseph". Some of the other ossuaries in the tomb contained names matching other names of people we know from the gospels. One of the ossuaries had the name Mary (Jesus' mother?). Another had the name "Marriamne", which might be a form of the name Mary. Some speculate that this might be Mary Magdalene. Yet another one had the name "Joses" inscribed, which matches the name of one of Jesus' brothers.
Interestingly, It also contains an ossuary bearing the inscription "Judah, son of Jesus". Hmmm.
The overwhelming majority of biblical scholars and archeologists do not believe this to be the tomb of Jesus' family, for a variety of reasons, but mostly because of the extreme commoness of those names in that time.
Here's the Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talpiot_Tomb
Another tomb was found nearby, and this one contained an ossuary with this inscription: "James son of Joseph brother of Jesus". Most consider it a forgery though.
I am not convinced that either of these tombs go back to Jesus' family, but it can't be ruled out.
